Sofie’s Choice is a Copenhagen based film company focusing on movie rights, distribution, aggregation and tech, financing, and production. Sofie’s Choice is founded by Sofie Wanting Hassing who has worked internationally with film since 2002 with a combined background in film finance, distribution, and production. Sofie has financed and worked on over 32 feature films, documentaries, and TV series since 2002. In 2011, she participated in the prestigious film business program Inside Pictures and produced with Eric Abraham and Ewa Puszczynska the Academy-award-winning movie IDA by the director Pawel Pawlikowski. Recently, she executive produced and financed the international Emmy-awarded TV series Atlantic Crossing by the director Alexander Eik with the producer Silje Hopland Eik for Cinenord. IDA won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and 68 other film prizes, including 5 EFA awards and a BAFTA. Atlantic Crossing won the international Emmy award as best miniseries in 2021 and the Jury's Special Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards. Atlantic Crossing starred Sofia Helin, Tobias Santelmann and Kyle Maclachlan.

Sofie's Choice Production focus on co-production, production, and financing of Nordic feature films, animation film, drama series and documentary series. Sofie Wanting Hassing is a member of the European Producers Club and have signed the European Producers Clubs Green Charter of Productions and The European Producers Club EPC's Gender Equality Charter.
